We had a great time last week on vacation with my entire family. Spent the week in two beach houses on Bolivar Penninsula.

Exercised this morning at the YMCA with Randy Thomas.
Unpacked at the new home.
Swam in the pool with Jenni and Bekah.
Lunch and some errands.
Study and prepare for wedding tonight of Larry and Kelly.
Bekah's Grammy from Indiana gave her a new outfit when she was visiting...
"Bekah Liberty" with her new hat from New York City. She is such a lady!
We are all moved into our new home. It is a beautiful home. Still in boxes, but getting settled. Thanks to Paul Baxter, Josh Flynn, George Ruot, Eric Morgan, Jim/Mary and Abby Yeakle, Abraham Hernandez, Stephanie Langford, Ben/Isabel Geerdes, Adam Schwing, Ernest Roman, Larry Waldo, and Chris Jones for helping us move!
Jenni and I returned from one week in New York City. We vacationed for two days and were at the Brooklyn Tabernacle for a three day conference. We had an incredible time. Brad and Emily McKenzie, our Pastor of Worship and Community Life, were on the trip with us. Bekah stayed with Dad and Mom Habegger. She also had a great time. Our first time to be apart for more than one night. Here are some pictures of our trip.
Lady Liberty...
Manhattan skyline...
Yes, baseball fans, we caught a Yankee game...
And the Brooklyn Tabernacle choir...
A long winded pastor stepped up to the pulpit. He had a bandaid on his chin. He told his congregation that while he was shaving that morning, he was thinking about his sermon and he cut his face.
After his long message, a member of his church came to him and said, "Next Sunday morning when you are shaving, why don't you think about your shaving and cut your sermon."
Kodiak Alexander Rainey (1/28/94 - 6/15/06) On June 15, 2006, Kodiak Alexander Rainey (white dog) went to be in doggy heaven while living in Houston, Texas. Kody is survived by his parents, Scott and Jenni Rainey; sister, Bekah; and canine brother, Boomer. Kody was born on a cold winter's day in Bluffton, Indiana at the farm of Mr. Rudy on January 28, 1994. He was the only survivor of the litter because of the extreme temps. That survival mentality stayed with Kody throughout his great life. He was a gift from God to Scott and Jenni and will be remembered for his long "mushes", playful stubbornness, passion for eating socks, and general love of life. His last moments were in his daddy's arms in the office of Dr. Chris Jones, Daddy's friend from church.
Our church board and church membership voted this past month to sell our current parsonage and buy a new one nearer our new church in Bear Creek. So, at the end of the month of June, we will be moving into another home. God has blessed our time at our current parsonage with opportunities for ministry, the birth of Bekah, and lots of love. I wonder what God has in store for our family at the new place.
The new parsonage is very beautiful. Here are some pictures (furniture not included)...
All is well today. I have two different Bible studies that I am leading today. Inbetween them I am reading, talking with many on the phone, playing with Bekah, etc. Jenni is helping some friends (Ben and Isabel Geerdes) move from downtown to their new home near the church.
Bekah is enjoying the summer weather and her little pool...
Some of Bekah's favorite things right now are her hat (on sideways), her necklace with bubble liquid from Grandpa and Grandma Sunshine, her books, and her dental floss (empty container).
And she is all girl, dressing up at every occassion...
